We invite educators to visit Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing History for free; free visits require advance reservations. This is the perfect opportunity to spend time in the exhibition preparing for a class trip, to learn more about computing history from a knowledgeable docent, or to supplement your use of Revolution Online as a teaching resource by viewing authentic artifacts in person.
To make a reservation, please call 650-810-1038 or email Group Reservations at least one week in advance of the date and time you wish to visit. Present your valid faculty or staff identification at the lobby desk upon arrival to receive free admission.
Revolution Online
Revolution Online is the Museum's vast digital exhibition, a leading resource for research, information, and education on the history of computing. Every aspect of Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing History is included in the digital exhibition; educators will find timelines, interactive applications, imagery, and extensive video resources to aid in their own understanding of computing history as well as their students'. In addition, the website contains research materials, digital access to the Museum's collection, and digital versions of past exhibitions not found in the physical version of Revolution.
The Computer History Museum on YouTube
The museum offers more than 100 lectures, historical videos, and oral histories focused on computer history on its YouTube channel. These videos from the museum’s collection present computer history pioneers, innovators, industry leaders, and commentators from the last 50 years. In their own words, they recall the challenges of developing and introducing new technologies, discuss the computer's impact on society, and ponder what is coming next.
